Eevonne's Quest for The Beginning of The Beginningless

Once, I sat down to think on existence,
Beings, I figured there are conceivably two kinds
One, I named Caused, who ranks next in a sequence
The second, Uncaused, who is pretty hard to define

The one called Caused is always “the next”
For it is the result of something else
Here in a “before-and-after” vortex
Caused in comfort lives and dwells

If Caused only came into being in the “after” moments
There is a “before” when Caused was not
Then there ought to be a point in this sequence
Where Caused began to exist on the dot

The other is harder to understand
For Uncaused is a very different Thing
It does not on any prior things depend
Nor does it ever come to being

How so you may wonder this is?
Uncaused if is never “the next” like Caused
Shall have no moments when it does not exist
If no moments Uncaused was not,
Then we must conclude that it is always there
Then, unlike Caused, there is no dot
To mark Uncaused’s beginning anywhere

For Caused I can with effort determine
How old it is at a certain point
For calculating the “before-and-after”'s since its beginning
We can a finite number of moments quantify
But for Uncaused, try as I may
I shall not be able to determine its age
For “time” and “moments” have no say
As it does not live in the “before-and-after” cage
